In analyzing the hundreds of reviews, we have come up with a few points worth mentioning. However, if you need more exotic sizes, then you should look elsewhere. These tires offer good coverage for the most popular sports cars and sports sedans on the market.

If you want to know more about the UTQG rating, feel free to read this article. Similarly, the UTQG rating of 400 AA A demonstrates the inherent limitations of these tires. It also explains why these tires come in widths ranging from 205 to 275, and no wider. This explains why they are available from 16-inch to 20-inch wheels. We are talking about tires intended for sports cars and sports sedans from Ford, Chevrolet, Mazda, Nissan, and others. The sizes available are perfectly aligned with their target audience. Moreover, if the tire suffers non-repairable damage within the first 2 years, a refund of the original purchase price or replacement purchase price (whichever is less) will be made.ĭespite being an ultra-high performance tire, this product has an excellent warranty, which is undoubtedly an important factor when choosing a set of tires.īFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S Specs & Options On top of the amazing tread life warranty offered by BFGoodrich, this tire features Tire Rack's leading warranty that covers refunds of up to $40 for repairs per tire per occurrence. Sadly, BFGoodrich does not provide this type of warranty for this tire. Moreover, it also offers free tire replacement for the first year, 2/32" wear, or 25% wear. Workmanship / Materials WarrantyīFGoodrich provides a generous 6-year warranty against defects in workmanship or materials. Uniformity WarrantyĬomplaints regarding these tires’ uniformity must be subscribed in the first year of use or the first 2/32" of wear. This warranty is halved when the rear and the front tires are different in size. I have a separate set of wheels for my Blizzaks to get me through the winter. Here are the warranties: Treadlife WarrantyĦ-year warranty or 45,000 miles (whichever occurs first). My setup is fully stock otherwise and the A/S3’s compliment the sport suspension incredibly well in all 3 seasons. If you want a tire with good dry grip that is close to the Michelin PSS, but need all weather or rain capabilities, I think the A/S 3+ is an excellent choice. I find turn in direct and good, though not as sharp as the run flats were. It has a firmer side wall than other all seasons I have tried, but is much more compliant and forgiving than the OEM Bridgestone run flats especially upon pot holes and other street impacts. Dry grip is good for an all-season, with astonishing wet grip, which is where I believe this tire really shines. If you're running a more stock suspension and stock alignment settings, I think you would easily get the warrantied mileage out of the tire. The Y rated A/S 3+ has a 30,000 mile warranty, but if you run staggered sizes, Michelin drops the warranty down to 15,000 miles. I give the inner measurements because of my camber specs. Over the course of 14 months/10,000 Miles, I wore them down to 5/32" on the inner front and 3/32" on the inner rear. My daily driving is primarily city/stop-and-go about 15 Miles/day. Disclaimer: I run the BMW Performance suspension with Dinan camber plates and fairly aggressive camber, along with running 1 autocross event per month most months of the year.

I have had the A/S 3+ on my E92 LCI 328i sport package coupe. They also add more control and response to the car. Poorly designed summer tires can also have a tendency to induce noise/vibration too, though this isn't an issue with PSS.ĭon't think of summer tires as just for sporty driving. That being said treadwear can be abysmal. But they are truly phenomenal the rest of the time. I hate my summer tires because they are a compromise when temps are 45 degrees and below. Summer tires tend to handle better in emergencies too. PSS seemed to improve shock control (again the stiffer sidewall allowed the shocks to locate the wheel more accurately = less vertical bounce). PSS reduced brake dive/body roll (really sidewall deformation, made the DWS feel as if the suspension dived and rolled more). PSS required less turning of the steering wheel for a given turn of the vehicle/road. MPSS vs DWS, the PSS had better steering response/feel all of the time ( even in a straight line). Not only when performance driving, either. Summer tires do lend better response to the vehicle.

Yeah exactly.not sure why peeps go with the summer tires when they drive on the highway/in a straight line 99% of the time anyway.
